Sküt Urban Mobility Device
Here are some pictures of the completed Sküt. I have redone the wiring and all that stuff since it was last used, so hopefully someone will play around with it and want one. Anyway, here are a few pics since I never got around to posting a final version.

Lafayette Bus Shelter
Last semester Ross Usie, Jake Warren and I worked with the Lafayette Metropolitan Planning Office to create new bus stop designs that would show that Lafayette has an eye towards the future with their mass transit system. The new designs were to be adventurous in style, but cheap and simple in construction techniques.
Our design fulfilled all obligations while also being graffiti resistant and including maps of the Lafayette Transit System. Hopefully we will one day see these built. If not, maybe I will build one and store my lawn mower under it.

Another rendering with more realistic material choices, bike racks and a trash can. |

RepRap Progress
RepRap is a free, open source 3d printing project that I think will probably take over the world (insert evil laugh here). I am currently in the process of building the latest version, the Mendel, for my own desktop manufacturing needs. Thus far, I have completed the the frame and Y axis, and am waiting to build the X axis, as I must first machine a few pieces on my CNC mill (another project that I will be sharing on here shortly).

The Y axis and frame in position |
Tomorrow will be a big day, I will be upgrading my CNC mill to use ballscrews for linear motion. This improvement will make my machine better in almost every way, faster, more efficient and more precise. My first project after installing these new parts will be machining the X axis vertical drive plates that I am missing.
The Id
Some say he has 2 left wheels,
others say his arms are made of Jello (which they probably are).
all I know is, he's called the Id.
Just a quick rendering of a quick model, figured I'd stick it up here since I haven't posted anything to this blog in a while. Can you tell I was watching Top Gear when I made this?
